Feeder
Pattern Report By Receiving Schools (High School-Middle-Elementary)
The feeder patterns of the Oakland Unified School District are geographically based. Each address within the city is located within the boundaries of one elementary school, one middle school (or elementary school offering middle grades), and one high school. Refer to Table 1, Address Feeder School Table, for examples of addresses and the school boundaries in which they are located.

Some elementary school boundaries are not completely
contained within the boundary of a single middle school. Some middle school boundaries also cross the
boundaries of multiple high schools.
Refer to Figure 1, Manzanita Elementary School Feeder Patterns, for an
example of an elementary school which feeds multiple middle schools and high
schools.

The Feeder Pattern Report By Sending Schools lists
elementary schools in alphabetical order and indicates the middle schools and
high schools they feed. The number of
students living within the attendance area of the elementary school is
listed. This total includes all students
in grades K-12 that live within the attendance boundary of the school. The number and percentage of students who
live within the feeder pattern of each middle school/high school combination
are also listed.
The Feeder Pattern Report By Receiving Schools lists each
comprehensive high school along with the middle schools and elementary schools
within its feeder pattern. The number
of students living within the attendance area of each middle school and
elementary school are listed. Please
note that the totals for the middle schools are not the sum of the totals for
the elementary schools (remember, elementary schools may feed more than one
middle school). These totals include all
students in grades K-12 that live within the attendance boundary of the
school. The number and percentage of
students who live within the feeder pattern for each elementary/middle combination
are also listed. The middle school
totals for students living within the feeder pattern are the sums of the totals
for the elementary schools listed.
